Now that you've got the basics of food and hormone balance, let's take it a step further.
What happens when you eat procesed food?
Processed foods include preservatives. Any of those ingredients on the label of your fake food that you cannot pronounce will cause inflammation. This will cause you to store much of what you eat...and your body has to figure out how to get back into and use that energy later.
As you eat more and more of these foods over time, you're storing these unclean fuels and preservatives in your body. As your body uses those fuels, the messages can be skewed because the hormones don't understand them. This hinders weight loss and hormonal regulation.
These toxins also get into your liver, and then your system is overwhelmed!
The liver is your body's pantry. Everything you eat goes into your liver and eating processed foods is basically leaving it without a chance to stay healthy. The liver is the body's biggest detoxifying organ, but if it's overwhelmed with processed food that's hard too burn for fuel, weight loss becomes much more difficult.
Once the liver is overwhelmed with sugar storage, it pushes that processed fuel into your fat cells. And once the fat cells are over-stuffed, they begin producing inflammatory estrogen that leads to results far worse than just more weight gain.
Processed food is designed to be addictive, and you are not designed to consume them, which makes it a tough battle to get rid of them from your plate.
The best thing you can do for your body though, is reduce/elimnate the processed foods you are consuming. This will immediately initiate a positive impact on your health!
